AT THE DIRECTION OF THE OCA AND TEXAS SUPREME COURT


This office has implemented the following guide lines to assist in protecting the Court and Staff from the CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC , including modifying or suspending deadlines and procedures, is extended until June 1, 2021. 

            All non-essential court will be held through Video Conferencing (Zoom Meeting) unless otherwise notified. Any in-person proceedings will require face coverings and social distancing. All Jury hearings are postponed until further notice.

Class C misdemeanor’s (traffic violation’s) can be handled by phone, email or on the internet. All hearings will be through Video Conferencing (Zoom Meeting) unless otherwise  notified.

When calling for Payments and Status on accounts please allow 72 hours for a return call, due to the large numbers of calls coming in.

COUNTY NOTICE UPDATE

Help contain the spread of Covid-19 and the spread of panic.

We are continuously monitoring the changing situation. In the meantime, social distancing and proper hygiene practices:


  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. 

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. 

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick. 

  • Stay home when you are sick. 

  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow or use a tissue to cover it, then throw the tissue in the trash. 

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces (keyboards, mobile phones, desk phones, etc).
